UW STEMsub tracks student progress throughout the Academic Year and provides academic support and tutoring to ensure that students excel in all of their classes.  STEMsub students receive tutoring in all subject areas, with a particular focus on Math, Science, and Writing.

Academic Advising

UW STEMsub students receive individual help on college applications, admissions essays, financial aid, and other academic needs to ensure students’ success in high school and admission to college or universities.

Saturday Workshops

A variety of workshops, ranging from College & Career Exploration, Financial Aid, College Application, Scholarships, and SAT Prep are offered to UW STEMsub students throughout the program.  These workshops are offered for Seniors in the Fall and Juniors in the Spring.

Summer Academy

The UW STEMsub Summer Academy provides students with the opportunity for academic enrichment in a college setting. For six weeks, participants attend a variety of classes located on the UW campus designed to simulate the college experience, foster their interest in math and science, and help them obtain the skills they need to succeed in college. Students attend STEM lectures by University faculty and researchers, participate in college-level study sections and labs, and engage in weekly field trips to STEM-related sites and activities in the Seattle area.
