Sea Solidarity

Sea Solidarity

Program Description:

Sea Solidarity centers BIPOC High School aged youth from South Seattle to South King County with an interest in marine animals, conservation, environmental justice, and building meaningful connections. Please share this program with your contacts or youth who may be interested in this program.

The Sea Solidarity Program is a free program by BIPOC staff designed for BIPOC High School aged youth, with a focus on those from South Seattle to South King County. This program will take youth across a journey of 8 program meetings throughout virtual Wednesday evening and in person Saturday morning to afternoons of May 2022.

Opportunities include Seattle Aquarium tours with an empathy perspective, behind the scenes, connection with BIPOC Aquarium staff, tidepool exploration, and opportunities to engage in healing practices. This is an affinity space for participants to find joy, healing and build capacity together.

Priority registration is open now until April 17th, after which applications will be considered in the order they are submitted. Please see the flyer and website for more information, and for any further questions or comments, please email Suzannah Yu (she/her) s.yu@seattleaquarium.org.
