July 17, 2013. The Western Regional Center (WRC) is a major National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) research and administrative complex with nine buildings and over 600,000 square feet of space on a 100 acre campus situated along the shoreline of Lake Washington in Seattle, Washington. It is used as a research and development center for NOAA. It includes office, laboratory, warehouse, industrial areas, equipment sites, a working harbor, and open space.
