Pacific Northwest National Laboratory 2019

July 9-10, 2019. This year’s STEMsub’s Summer Academy, our students got the opportunity to visit one of the United States Department of Energy National Laboratories, managed by the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Science, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, Washington. PNNL is known for its advancement of science and technology, with distinctive strengths in chemistry, earth sciences, and data analytics, laying a foundation for innovations that improve America’s energy resiliency and national security. Students toured the PNNL campus, participated in various STEM-focused activities (including cyber security, VR technology, and machine learning), and learned about different cutting-edge research being conducted at PNNL.
